Kaslo Nordic Ski trail grooming report for Tuesday January 20
The tracks from Sunday are hard and fast, so I didn’t groom today. However, Sarah and I will groom and set track Wednesday afternoon once the snow temperature has risen a bit. We will groom the dog trail but not set a track due to thin snow, and groom from the Prayer Flags to Bucky Cabin, and groom and single track from the Prayer Flags to Moose Meadow cabin. The tracks from Hwy 31A to Moose Meadow are very firm and about as good as is possible for our current conditions, so we will not be grooming or track setting that section of the trails.
Overall, skiing is good with hard snow and fast downhills. However, there is lots of room for snowplowing to slow down, and while its hard, overall its not icy, except some areas of the dog trail, which has both ice and bare ground.
