Nordic Ski Trails Grooming report for Sunday January 18 by Stu Heard After the Kaslo Youth Nordic ski program on Sunday January 18 I groomed and set track from Hwy 31A parking lot to Moose Meadow cabin (double track) and from Moose Meadow cabin to Yew cabin and the prayer flags turnaround (single track). The knifes on the groomer worked well to break up the hard surface layer and with temperature of 0 the track setter left a good deep track except in several very icy areas. The tracks are fast so I left lots of room for snow plowing. There is insufficient snow to effectively groom the Dog trail. From Moose Meadow cabin there are sections with water running alongside the trail and through the culverts, so the groomed area is fairly narrow. I will groom again on Tuesday January 20.
