Nordic ski trail grooming report for Sunday Jan 7 2024 by Stu Heard

New snowfall amounts from Friday/Saturday varied from 10-15cm between Hwy #31A and the Yew Cabin. The Dog Trail received significantly less snow at the east end. The main trails from the parking lot to the Seven Mile Creek FSR prayer flags junction were packed, groomed and track set this morning and provide GOOD skiing. The Dog Trail is NOT RECOMMENDED due to thin snow cover, rocks, sub-surface ice, and open bare ground under trees. Bucky Cabin Wilderness Route was not groomed due to warm snow conditions so remains un-tracked. All warmup day cabins are open for use with firewood provided.
Enjoy the return of Nordic skiing!
